Judy’s Poems VII

Unveiling the Hidden World

Judy's Poems speak directly to life, democracy, freedom, and human rights. They are poems about equality, love, and the human experience.

Written by Judy Fay London

A part of this book:

Snow—

dancing wildly like that orange god;

Wind—

howling crazily like his insane followers;

Branches

crying desperately like those innocent victims.

She—a ten-year-old girl—

stands on the edge of a bridge,

tears flowing from her beautiful eyes.

Jump. telling herself—the girl

wipes her tears and jumps

into the river.

Drowning, dying—the girl feels relieved—

she hates those people—who

forced her mother to bring her to the world;

she hates those people—who

sent her to a foster home;

she hates her foster parents—who

abused her, treated her like a slave.

Free—oh yes, free—finally—

the girl smiles, slowly closing her eyes.
